I wouldnt get too down about it, Im still broke myself.. and on a pretty low wage for London! But Ive just been incredibly lucky in getting a job in the industry.
I wish I could say I applied to loads of places, which is probably the best thing to do.. but by some amazing fluke the company I work for found me at New Designers and contacted me! All I can say is, keep at it, apply to places and you'll definitely find something- you have talent
